"I would recommend Peter Herman to anyone wanting to install hardwood floors. Unlike larger companies and box stores, you will be dealing with a single person from initial contact to getting the estimate to the actual installation work. He is extremely reliable and showed up on the date and time agreed upon ready to get to work. He works fast. We were hard pressed to stay ahead of him as we prepared the rooms. He went out of his way to be sure that we were happy with the work and final result. We were initially slightly uneasy that his estimate was a single number written on the back of his business card but there were no surprises in the final cost. He is a man of his word. "Peter is very attentive to detail, an extremely hard worker, and does excellent work. He even returned to complete one small area that needed a bit more attention. We felt completely comfortable having him in our home; a trustworthy, honest man. His rates are fair, and he completes the work in as timely a manner as possible, considering the drying time that is necessary. The job produced minimal dust considering the sanding that is being done. A tip: It was very important to hang plastic in doorways to protect areas of the house that were not being sanded as well as covering cabinetry. Peter does not do that for you; do it yourself ahead of time! I recommend the heavier 2 mil version vs. 1 mil. (Lowe's)"
